Our Story

Our music event & fundraiser is made possible with the help and contributions of so many others. My special thanks go to the families of Chris Riley & Kevin Clayton. 

Also to many music artists,  production help, individual contributions from local councillors, local businesses, organisations, and many other individuals including a team of volunteers, I am truly grateful for everyone's continued help. 

Our 'Village in Bloom' Glusburn Park fundraiser began in 2022, in memory of Chris Riley,  after becoming an annual event, by popular demand!  We announced 'Glistenbury' as its new music event name. We added a second stage for additional music in 2023 in memory of Kevin Clayton, a key organiser and contributor in 2022. Our event will offer something slightly different in 2025 as we also celebrate the centenary of the opening of Glusburn Park.

 The event was also born out of the "Village in Bloom" competition & presentation event and will remain a part of this community fun day.
